Quick tip 1 – Merging layers

This is part one of the Photoshop quick tip series. In this quick tip you will learn how to merge layers in Photoshop. Merging layers basically combines the layers together.
There are three different ways you can merge layers in Photoshop.

1. The first method is to use the menu bar which is the least common. You select Layer > Merge Layer on the menu bar. This method takes the longest time to merger all the layers.


2. The second is the most common method. You select all the layers on the layers panel and then right click and select Merge layers.



3. The third method is fastest and simplest way to merge layers. You select all the layers from the layers panel then use the shortcut key Ctrl + E which merges all the layers.
